Positive Grid was founded in 2013 with the goal of creating innovative music technology to inspire a global community of musicians to collaborate, have fun, and pursue their musical dreams. Their apps brought clever amplifier and effects pedal modelling to smart devices, while their BIAS amplifiers featured cutting-edge emulation technology that made it easier than ever to make new and inspiring tube sounds from scratch.
Positive Grid's greatest innovation, however, would come in 2020 with the release of the Spark amp. Based on the same BIAS emulation and effects modelling that made the brand famous, the Spark 40 practice amp and companion app delivered an infinite number of customisable tones and an incredible practice experience.
The Spark 40 and the Spark Mini can analyse any of the millions of songs YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music, and display the chords for learners to jam along with, or automatically generate a backing track for an original composition. It is also an audio interface for plug & play recording to a computer and features a clean, 100 dB of sound for use as a Bluetooth or home theatre speaker. Positive Grid set out to change the world of music making, and this versatile device is resounding proof that they've succeeded.
