The Gibson SJ-200 is the world’s most famous acoustic guitar and well deserves its designation as the “King of the Flat-Tops.” Often made with a maple back and sides, the earliest examples were instead made with rosewood bodies. Now Gibson is proud to release the SJ-200 Standard Rosewood, bringing rosewood back to this highly acclaimed and cherished model.
In addition to the rosewood back and sides, it features a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany neck with a comfortable round profile and a rosewood fretboard with graduated crown mother-of-pearl inlays, a two-bar moustache bridge, TUSQ® bridge pins, saddle, and nut, and gold Grover® Imperial™ tuners. It also comes equipped with the L.R. Baggs™ Anthem active under-saddle pickup and microphone system for superb studio-quality sound when plugged in, whether you’re recording or playing live. Also available in right-handed versions, a Gibson hard-shell case is included.
