For 50 years, TASCAM has been famed for its multi-track recording technology. Legendary for a combination of solid reliability and outstanding audio quality, TASCAM recorders have been the heart of countless recording studios and field-recording systems. The latest addition to this tradition, TASCAM's IF-MTR32 multi-track recording card turns a TASCAM Sonicview 16 or TASCAM Sonicview 24 digital mixer into a powerful recording console for broadcast, production, and recording studios; live/relay broadcasting and recording; a wide variety of fixed installations; bands; and live event recording.
With the addition of an optional IF-MTR32 card, your TASCAM Sonicview console becomes a multi-track recording mixer, capturing up to 32 tracks at 48 kHz or up to 16 tracks at 96 kHz directly to an SDXC card -all with the same 32-bit precision used in TASCAM Sonicview mixers.
More than an audio-capture device, the IF-MTR32 delivers the crucial recording features professionals need. It supports simultaneous 32-channel punch-in/punch-out, with an Overwrite function that can operate from the middle of a recording. A pre-recording function starts recording two seconds before the actual start of the track, ensuring you don't lose data. Auto-record starts recording automatically when the IF-MTR32 detects a selectable audio input level. You also can drop markers wherever desired so you can quickly access the locations for later editing. The safety of your recordings is always a paramount concern. That's why the IF-MTR32 automatically saves and closes files every 60 seconds during recording, safeguarding against data loss. You can let the recorder do it's job, worry-free, while you focus on mixing.
The IF-MTR32 is tightly integrated with the host TASCAM Sonicview mixer, making it easy to manage the recording process while mixing an event or session. All operations can be performed by assigning transport functions and other functions to the TASCAM Sonicview's colour touch screen or User Keys. TASCAM Sonicview's GPIO terminals and footswitch jack can be used to control the unit from an external control device.
Transferring tracks and mixes between an IF-MTR32 card and your favourite DAW is straightforward, thanks to support for BWF (Broadcast WAV) file import and export.
