The Yamaha MG16 16-input mixer seems compact but doesn't act that way when you consider the versatility that goes into this audio equipment. Record live performances, studio work, lectures, speeches and more thanks to eight mono/mic line combo input channels and two stereo line input channels that can double as mono mic lines. Inputs use standard 1/4-inch XLR, stereo or RCA jacks.
The first 12 channels each have D-Pre mic preamps, three-band equalisers, a high-pass filter and pan control so you can alter the audio signal to fit your needs at any particular moment. The preamps contain an inverted Darlington circuit for extra sound clarity, while you can switch to 48-volt phantom power to use with dynamic and condenser microphones for additional audio filtering. Channels 1 through 8 have an added feature with 26-decibel attenuation switches, so you can use microphones with louder sound sources, such as guitars, amps, basses and drums.
Take advantage of XLR and TRS stereo outputs to connect to your PA system or monitor speakers. The 1/4-inch headphone output contains a level control for personal monitoring.
